An interview on DI People

Phuong Anh’s Take: Life and Work at Dream Incubator

Why DI SEA?

Upon graduating from Suntory Pepsico’s Management Trainee program, I felt an urge to explore industries beyond FMCG. Consulting offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects across different industries and sectors. Additionally, I enjoy being intellectually challenged and solving problems daily. Therefore, I decided to switch to consulting at DI SEA, associated with close-knit team, intriguing projects, Japanese quality

If you’re practicing case interviews, ‘hypothesis-driven’ approaches are frequently emphasized, especially in candidate-led interviews. When I was mastering case interviews, I didn’t fully grasp the power of being hypothesis-driven. Thankfully, DI taught me why having a hypothesis (also called an ‘output image’) is such a powerful tool. It helps navigate projects and saves time during problem-solving. Additionally, developing a hypothesis early helps me anticipate upcoming problems and challenges

Definitely stakeholder management and more effective communication!!!

DI supports my career development by:

Offering exposure to various industries: I’ve worked on over five diverse projects, helping me identify the industry I want to specialize in.

Providing a clear career path: At DI, I control my promotion and career plan. I don’t need to wait for a performance review to be promoted; as long as I meet the new role’s expectations, I can advance. The promotion path is unique for each employee, so progress depends on individual capability rather than external factors like headcount or project availability

IMPACTS OF CONSULTANTS’ CONTRIBUTIONS

I’ve worked on over five projects across various industries, including automotive, insurance, digital business, and real estate, and have contributed to projects in international markets like India and Cambodia.

The project with the Indian team, aimed at facilitating a Japanese conglomerate’s venture into the Indian market, was particularly impactful. India, with its similarities to Vietnam but also its advanced digital landscape, provided a unique opportunity for me. I played a crucial role in driving digital transformation efforts, which led to meaningful changes in the business environment. Additionally, visiting India’s startup valley and immersing myself in its dynamic ecosystem was a memorable and rewarding experience.
